Charlene Henderson is a Charlotte businesswoman,
activist, producer, and philanthropist. In 2001, she
opened the N Demand Salon, which has become a pillar
of the Charlotte hair care community. She is also the
founder of N Demand Media, a full service studio that
provides photography, videography, and studio rental
services. Charlene is also the publisher and owner of
Charlene was born in North Charlotte and has
dedicated her life to enriching the lives of young people
in the Queen City. She is well known for her tireless
community work and for being a voice for the
For over a decade Charlene has organized and produced events such as Gospel concerts, school
supply drives, along with hair and fashion shows to raise money for individuals in need.
She currently sits on the Woman’s Advisory Board for the Mecklenburg County. She currently is
on the Executive Committee for the Black Political Caucus. She is an Eastern Star member and
the Youth Leader and Praise dance Instructor at her church.
Her ultimate goal is to save as many children as possible from premature deaths and
incarceration through support and education for families with troubled teens.
She is currently the Vice President of a non profit organization called SAVE "Safeguard Atone Validate Educate where we make children instead of jail ready, job ready! She's also a Former Leader at Nee Covenant Bibleway Church.
